Proclivity Studios Request alpha access

Data and Privacy Notice

This explains what Proclivity Studios Solutions Pty Ltd collects when you play Exodus Unchained, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

Closed alpha. Written by the development team and not yet reviewed by a lawyer or a privacy
specialist. It describes what the software actually does today.

1. What we collect

Your account: your email address and a hashed password. We never store your password itself.

How the game runs on your machine: your graphics hardware, display and resolution, frame timing, network measurements and errors. This is how we find out that the game is slow or broken for people who are not us.

How you play: your character's position and actions, which interface panels you use, and chat messages in full.

The website, before you have an account: if you ask to be considered for the alpha at exodusunchained.com, the form collects your first name, last name and email address, the time you submitted it, which page you came from, and the consent choices you made. We use short-lived technical information to protect the form from abuse, but we do not store a raw IP address with your application. You do not have to give us any of it — without it we simply cannot consider or contact you. Agreeing to occasional development and marketing updates is optional, is never required for alpha consideration, and every such message must carry a way to unsubscribe. Withdrawing it does not stop necessary correspondence about your application.

We do not collect your address, phone number, payment details or any government identifier, because we never ask for them. The game itself never asks for your real name either — only the alpha-access form above does, and only so that a human can write back to you properly.

2. Talking to the residents — the part that leaves the country

Some characters in the world answer in their own words rather than from a script. When you type to one of them:

processed on servers outside Australia**;

about your character** — things like "has done work for me before";

The conversation is kept only as that short per-character summary. You can ask us to clear it.

If you would rather not, simply do not type to them. Everything else in the game works exactly the same, quests are all still reachable, and the characters fall back to fixed written lines.

3. Why we are allowed to

We process this to run the game you asked to play, to keep it working, and to keep it fair and safe for other players. Chat is recorded in full because a closed alpha with strangers in it needs to be moderatable.

4. Who else sees it

advertising or third-party analytics in the game.

We will disclose data if the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

Alpha-access applications are kept while the alpha is running and for no more than twelve months after it ends, so that we can tell you what happened to your request. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will.

Gameplay and telemetry records are kept for 90 days and then deleted. Your account and its characters are kept until you ask us to delete them, or until the alpha ends.

6. What you can ask for

Write to privacy@exodusunchained.com and you can ask us to:

We will answer within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

7. Security, honestly stated

Passwords are hashed. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to the servers is limited to the development team. This is a small alpha run by a small team, not a bank — do not reuse a password here that protects anything that matters.

8. Children

The game is for players 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a child has an account, write to privacy@exodusunchained.com and we will remove it.

9. Changes

When this notice changes materially, you will be asked to read and accept it again before you next play.
